About the program

The Volunteer Notetaker Program is designed to ensure students registered with Accessibility Services have equal access to all classroom information. Volunteer notetakers provide notes from lectures and seminars to students with disabilities.

Position summary

Become a volunteer notetaker with Accessibility Services to offer meaningful support and make a difference in the lives of identified students.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Attend all classes
  • Provide detailed written or electronic copies of your notes within 24 hours of each class
  • Commit for the entire term


  • Currently enrolled at Conestoga while maintaining good academic standing
  • Strong communication skills including excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Positive role model
  • Dependable and respectful to the needs of students
  • Strong capacity to help others
